2021 Senior Handbook

In Year 10, students undertake studies of English and Mathematics and tutorial for the whole year and a minimum of one semester of Humanities and of Science. Selectives make up the remaining subjects in Year 10 programs. Students are encouraged to continue to develop their talents in their strength areas and to learn new skills.

Senior school – Reaping Rewards
The solid foundation studies students experience in the Junior School, and Year 10 prepare them well for the final years of school. Pathway planning has enabled students to identify their strengths and talents and they choose one of the senior certificate courses that will prepare them for further study at university or TAFE aligned to their chosen future career path.
Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE)
Melton Secondary College offers a wide range of VCE studies. English is studied by all students and Mathematics is recommended for all Year 11 students. Studies offered include:
